The Livestock Fair is the real heart of the event, both for historical and econimic reasons.
This type of events were born as a large livestock markets, but most of them, over the years, have undergone economic change, going to disappear, while a few others have managed to maintain a degree of specialization and quality that allows not only the survival, but also growth and innovation.
Among these can be counted the “Centenarian September Fair”, once of the most important in the industry and specialized in high-quality cattle, with particular reference to fattening cattle, mainly for the production of milk and meat.
The farmers are mainly from Brianza and Como, but also attended breeders from other areas of Lombardy or from other regions such as Veneto and Piedmont.
From 2012 was born the BRIANZA PRIZE, a livestock exhibition show where local farmers are involved.
